Pork in Green Masala (Caril Verde De Porco)


1/2 Kg Pork meat with bones

Pork meat with bones

1 Onion chopped
5 Green chillies
1 Bunch fresh Coriander
1 Tbsp Ginger /Garlic paste
2 Tbsp Freshly grated coconut
Grind all the above to fine paste.
(Green Masala)

Green Masala

 2 Tbls Goan vinegar

2 Tsp Jeerem Meerem pwd

1 Tsp Garam Masala pwd

Oil for Cooking

Salt as per taste

Recipe for Jeerem Meerem Pwd

100 Gms Cumin seeds
100 Gms Pepper corns
25 Gms BlackCloves
25 Gms Cinammon sticks
50 Gms Tumeric pwd
Grind all to a fine powder n store it into an airtight container…


Marinate the Pork with the Ground paste, Goan vinegar, Jeerem Meerem pwd, Garam masala pwd and Salt.

Marinated Pork

In a Cooker heat Oil and add the marinated Pork and brown on all sides. Add enough water just to cover the Pork and cook for 3 whistles on medium heat. Turn off the flame and let it cool down. Open the cooker and check for Salt and Vinegar and it’s done.

Serve with Rice

Pork ready to serve
