Bottle Gourd(Kokon Dudi) Caldine

Ingredients:

1 Medium size bottle gourd

Juice of 1 Coconut or 1 Can of Coconut milk

1 Tsp Tumeric pwd

2 Tsp Coriander pwd

3 Green Chillies cut fine

1/2 inch pc Cinnamon stick

5 Cloves

5 Black pepper corns

1 Onion chopped

1 Tomato chopped

50 Gms Medium prawns

2 Tbp Oil

Salt as per taste

Method:

Peel the bottle gourd

Cut the gourd length wise into half

Take out all the seeds from the middle

Cut the gourd into 1 Inch pcs

Add tumeric and coriander pwd to coconut juice/milk and keep aside.

Heat oil in a cooking utensil and saute the Onion, Tomato and Green chillies,Cinnamon, Pepper and Cloves for a minute.

Add the Coconut juice/milk and bring to a boil

Add the Ladyfingers, Prawns and Salt and cook till done.

Ready to serve
