Beef Ribs Curry


1 kg Beef ribs

2  Medium Onions chopped fine
2  Medium Tomatoes chopped fine
1/2 Cup  Fresh Coriander stems chopped fine
1 Tbsp Ginger/ Garlic paste
1 Tbsp Kashmiri chilly pwd

1 Tspn Spicy red chilly pwd

1 Tsp turmeric powder
1/2 Tsp Pepper powder
1 Tsp Jeerem Meerem pwd
1/2  Lime juice
1 Tbsp Goan Vinegar
Salt as per taste
Fresh Coriander leaves for garnish

Jeere Meerem masala:
100 gm Jeera
100 gm  Pepper corns
25 gms cloves
25 gms cinammon
50gms Tumeric
Grind all to a fine powder .


Cut the Beef ribs as shown in the pic

Marinate the Beef ribs with all the spice powders ,lime and vinegar for 1/ 2 hour

Heat oil in a cooker.. Fry the Onions Tomatoes,  Ginger/ Garlic paste and Coriander stems for atleast 15 mins on low to medium flame. Add 1 Tbsp of water every 2 to 3 mins to avoid it sticking to the bottom.

Once it turns soft and pulpy add the Beef ribs and fry for another 5 mins … Add 1 cup of water and close the cooker.

Cook for 3 whistles on high flame and  another 2 whistles on low to medium flame. Open the cooker once cooked down and check if the Beef ribs are cooked.  Garnish with fresh Coriander leaves and serve.
